Putney Classic and Ski Tour
The relays didn’t work for this year. But we still want to have a race! Hope you can join us for a standard BKL classic race in one of the birthplaces of American cross country skiing.
We are also offering a non-competitive ski tour, open to all ages, including snacks, a stuffy-safari, and 1-10k of self-guided delightful skiing!
Note: we expect a cold, sunny day. We do not have a readily accessible indoor warming area (although there are emergency options, and there will be warming stations on the ski tour).
Schedule:
10:00 am Ski Tour opens – collect a map/bingo card, and find the wild animals and treats in the forest
10:30 am Grade 1/2 and 3/4 wave start race
10:50 am Lollipop race! Anyone who is new to racing or a lollipoper can ski around a short course and get a treat!
11:00 am 5/6, 7/8 and adult wave start race
11:30 am Prizes/Podiums – our soon to be world famous pick-a-hat box, and other swag + ribbons
